Saint George Chapel

The Saint George Chapel was built in the Byzantium style in the 12th century A.D. and served the needs of the settlers of that era.

The Chapel is located about 300 metres from the main road close to Choulou Village above the Ezousa Valley. It was going through a lot of renovation work when we first visited it, in early 2020.

We visited the chapel again in November 2020 when renovation work was complete as shown in these photographs,

The chapel is easily reached from the road, just 300 metres or so down a rough track, and when you reach the chapel there are some lovely views across the Ezousa Valley.
