Asprogia Village is situated on the road between Kannaviou Village and Pano Panagia Village in the Paphos district close to the Paphos forest and Kannaviou Dam.
The village may be an ancient one as there is evidence of iron pyrite mining in the area in antiquity. The church in the village is of Agios Epiphanios and dates back to 1723.

Near the village is the Cave of Agios Sozon, Spilios t’ Ai Sozonta were the Saint Sozon hid in when he was pursued by the Saracens in the 7th century.

As can be seen from the photographs in the slide show, the main church of Asprogia Village which is dedicated to Saint Epiphanius and is 18th century dating back to 1723 is a small stone-built temple.
