Church of Panagia Theotokos from the Byzantine era This church was built during the Byzantine era, in the 11th century, and it was the first in the community. It was a stone made basilica and it could accommodate up to 500 people. It is situated to the northeast of Letymvou village.

These wall paintings are among the most important of the 15th century which have survived in Cyprus. What is more amazing is the fact that most of the church was built with local gypsum stones, hence it should not have survived earthquakes or heavy winter conditions! |
